GP Awarded Tennessee Homeland Security Program Contract

ELKRIDGE, Md., Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), has been awarded a contract, valued at $2.9 million, by the State of Tennessee, Department of Safety Office of Homeland Security, to implement their Comprehensive Homeland Security Exercise Program. Under this contract, GP will research, plan/develop, facilitate, and conduct a series of seminars, workshops, tabletop exercises, drills, and functional and full-scale exercises for state and local jurisdictions as defined by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines.

GP will work in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Homeland Security, and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide assistance to local governments, state partners, and additional first response agencies to validate plans, update procedures, and enhance training.
