ELKRIDGE, Md., Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), the operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), today announced that its RWD Division has been honored with a Bronze Award for Excellence in E-Learning at the Learning In Practice awards sponsored by Chief Learning Officer magazine.
These prestigious awards were presented as part of the Chief Learning Officer Symposium held in California on October 12, 2011. Entrants were reviewed by a panel of judges, who selected the winners based on their proven ability to design and implement innovative and effective learning solutions with valuable business impact.
RWD, acquired by GP in 2011, won the Excellence in E-Learning award for its work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To support the CDC’s Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS), RWD developed an online learning solution that is expected to ultimately support over 100,000 employees at over 44,000 provider sites to order and track vaccine supplies throughout the United States. VTrckS allows health care providers to input their vaccine requests (orders) directly online, thereby improving the efficiency and accountability of public dollars. The learning solution developed by RWD facilitated the adoption of this system in the most efficient and economical manner possible, allowing for rapid vaccine availability.
Patricia Begley, Executive Vice President of GP, stated, “It is our honor to receive this award from CLO magazine on behalf of our customers and employees who worked together to earn it. It is especially gratifying to know that as GP continues to grow and expand our capabilities, these awards affirm that our commitment to customer satisfaction and quality continue to excel.”
