General Physics Chosen to Validate Microsoft Project 2010 Training Publications

Elkridge, MD. June 23, 2010 – Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), has been selected to be the independent validation provider for Microsoft Corp.’s new Microsoft Project 2010 certifications. Over 100 publishers produce more than 300 training books and courses to help professionals around the world become certified in either Project Desktop, Project Server or the combined Microsoft Enterprise Project Management suite. Application users often turn to these publishers to prepare for the certification exams.

In order to prepare users effectively for exams, the publications must address the correct objectives of the certification. Therefore, Microsoft has chartered GP to validate the publications and ensure that they cover the material and objectives addressed in the Microsoft Project 2010 certification exams.

GP will work directly with each publisher to validate their training materials or identify shortcomings to be overcome. As a result, each publisher who successfully passes the validation will receive a GP seal of validation that can be applied to their publication and training materials. They will also receive preferred placement on the Microsoft Training Catalog

“This is a unique privilege for GP to receive Microsoft’s trust with this charter,” states William West, a vice president in GP’s Learning Solutions Division. “GP brings the depth of instructional design expertise to conduct a legitimate validation program and support the expected millions of Project 2010 users.”

“We are very excited about the Project 2010 release and the great project management capability these tools will offer our users”, states Doug McCutcheon, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation. “Training is an excellent way of quickly learning new capabilities of this release. We are pleased to partner with GP, who are offering our users a ‘GP seal of validation’ with reference to our certifications.”
