This practical workshop will show learners how to identify waste in their processes and use simple techniques such as process mapping and waste walking to transform the office environment and efficiency.

This course concentrates on the essentials of advanced product quality planning (APQP) and production part approval process (PPAP) required to set-up new product development in accordance with QS9000. It is suitable for anyone involved in managing, planning, designing or implementing new product designs and corresponding manufacturing processes. It covers the five phases of APQP and PPAP, making links to supporting tools such as quality function deployment (QFD), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and the Quality Umbrella.

Advanced product quality planning (APQP) drives a quality-focused approach to product development by using a phased planning process. It consists of five phases, starting with conceptual product needs and extending throughout the product life cycle. Specifically designed for virtual delivery, this training is aligned with the AS9145 standard—which defines the aviation, space, and defense process requirements for APQP and production part approval process (PPAP). The course is based around a case study, ensuring participants can practice every step of the APQP process, and is led by a master aerospace trainer experienced in working with major global aerospace organizations.

In the past, suppliers with multiple customers had to conform to a variety of quality requirements. This has resulted in different standards of practice. Recently, key aerospace engine manufacturers, through the organization AESQ, have collaborated to produce the standard AS13100 which is now becoming the basis for many company quality standards. This industry harmonization has resulted in a focused set of requirements. This course covers the new requirements of AS13100 to enable companies to plan their transition and compliance.
