Interactivity is a key element for making training more effective. It not only makes your training content more relevant and engaging, it also makes it more memorable and more likely to result in the kind of process and behavioral changes you want to introduce. As with any learning strategy, however, the secret to using it successfully can be elusive.
To start, interactivity, when used in relation to instructional design and training in general, relates to the involvement of the learners with the material and the learning process. There are multiple levels to this participation, with training interactivity ranging from passive to highly involved.
