General Physics Corporation Receives a California Multiple Award Schedule Contract

Elkridge, MD. March 7, 2008. Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP) has been awarded a California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) contract, which allows agencies to procure GP’s services.  The contract was awarded to GP by the California Department of General Services, Procurement Division, and contemplates the purchase of non-Information Technology consulting services.

The State of California establishes multiple award contracts in accordance with Public Contract Code Sections 10290 et seq. and 12101.5 (effective January 1994). The CMAS contractor provides products and/or services at prices based on an existing competitively assessed, cost-compared, multiple award contract. The contract is the “base” contract, and the State of California adds standard contract terms and conditions, procurement codes, policies, and guidelines that result in the CMAS contract.

Under CMAS, GP can provide expert advice, assistance, guidance, or counseling in support of agencies’ management, organizational and business improvement efforts as well as homeland security related assessments, training and exercises; studies, analyses, and reports documenting any proposed developmental, consultative, or implementation efforts. Examples of consultation include, but are not limited to, strategic, business, and action planning; systems alignment; cycle time; high performance work; process and productivity improvement; leadership systems; performance measures and indicators; program audits and evaluations; and organizational assessments.
