General Physics Corporation Receives Award From the City of Tampa Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) for Exercise Support

Elkridge, MD. August 5, 2009 – Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), the operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the City of Tampa UASI to design, conduct and evaluate a hurricane preparedness and response tabletop exercise.

The priority areas to be tested under this exercise program include Evacuation and Shelter in Place, Communications, Temporary Housing, Special Needs Populations, and Personal and Community Preparedness.
