The following news was released prior to LEO Learning joining GP Strategies.
LEO Learning has entered 2014’s busy learning awards season with a bronze Brandon Hall Group Excellence award, as well as being nominated for a further five E-Learning Age awards.
LEO Learning’s first two months following the merger of Epic and LINE have proved highly successful for the learning technologies firm, with their innovative work recognised in the prestigious international industry awards.
The US-based Brandon Hall Group Excellence award was granted in the Best Use of Blended Learning category, celebrating LEO Learning’s partnership with NHS Leadership Academy and KPMG. LEO Learning’s Virtual Campus supported the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Programme and the Nye Bevan Programme to improve leadership and healthcare standards across the NHS. This is the company’s first award win since becoming LEO Learning, signifying the international impact of their work.
LEO Learning has also been shortlisted for a further five awards in November’s highly regarded E-Learning Age awards. The company’s nominations are:
- LEO Learning and PwC – Excellence in the production of learning content – private sector
- LEO Learning and PwC – Best elearning project – UK private sector
- LEO Learning and Child Bereavement UK – Excellence in the production of learning content – third sector
- LEO Learning and Dimensions – Best elearning project – third sector
- Maggy Kohn – elearning designer of the year.
These nominations are a testament to LEO Learning’s pioneering approach to technology-enabled learning, and signify a strong start to the company’s first award season as LEO Learning.
This follows the news that LEO Learning’s parent company Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG) reached the finalist stage of the EdTech 20 list of Europe’s most innovative learning technologies companies in terms of innovation, scale, market impact and growth over the past year. This nomination highlights the impressive work being carried out across the LTG portfolio.
Chief Executive Jonathan Satchell said: “I am delighted with the recognition LEO Learning Learning is receiving for its work so early in its journey as a new company. The Brandon Hall award win and E-Learning Age award nominations highlight the excellent work being produced by our talented teams of learning experts, and we are looking forward to discovering the results of our most recent nominations in November. I would like to offer my congratulations to all the other winners and nominees in both awards.”
