For many leaders, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in the workplace has been a topic that is addressed as part of their organizational strategy. Unfortunately, these efforts often feel hollow and fail to facilitate change because they are not systemic. Leah Clark, Director of Leadership Strategy & Development had the privilege to sit down with Lisa M. Gray, Associate Director for Student Diversity and Inclusion at UMBC to hear why leaders need to push past the discomfort and listen, increase self-awareness and  self-educate and have the hard conversations to foster a true culture of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
