Developing a multi-level leadership program in partnership with Lane4, LEO Learning has been recognized for its digital learning solutions and custom Moodle-based hosting platform as part of an award-winning blended learning project for Sellafield Ltd, which is responsible for operating Europe’s largest and most diverse nuclear site.
LEO Learning, the market leader in global learning strategy, content, and technology has earned top-tier recognition at this year’s Brandon Hall Awards for its eLearning solutions and virtual learning environment (VLE) on Sellafield Ltd’s blended learning program, LE3AD.
The partnership which delivered a multi-year project encompassing face-to-face learning, eLearning content, and a VLE, has been recognized for a Gold award at the prestigious Brandon Hall Awards for behavioral transformation.
The aims of Sellafield’s LE3AD blended learning program were to:
- Unify the language around “good leadership” across the organization
- Encourage more positive leadership behaviors that create role models
- Consistently build high-performing teams across the business
- Empower leaders to lead from the front and by example
This industry-leading project was part of a wider organizational transformation towards a high-performance and widely collaborative culture throughout Sellafield Ltd. The VLE is built within a Moodle LMS platform, while the digital content was created by LEO and Lane4 using Gomo’s cloud-based, fully responsive authoring tool. This digital environment allowed Lane4 and Sellafield to facilitate all components of this award-winning program in an accessible and engaging way.
Focusing on personalized learning pathways and point-of-need learning, the custom digital aspects of this blended learning project have already considerably influenced the leadership teams at Sellafield Ltd.
According to a recent survey, of the 928 leaders who have completed the training so far, 87% of them believe that they will change their behavior in the workplace. Sellafield Ltd has also seen an 18% shift in the helpfulness of communications with senior management and a 4% increase in employees who view their managers as good role models.
