General Physics Corporation Receives Award from Cuyahoga County, Ohio to Provide Preparedness Training

Elkridge, MD. February 3, 2009 – Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), announced today that it has been awarded a contract to develop training materials for residents, businesses and responders in Cuyahoga County. The preparedness training relates to shelter-in-place and evacuation decision-making and implementation.

GP completed the first phase of the four-phase project during 2008, and is currently developing courseware and conducting focus groups as part of phase two of the project. Phase three entails developing detailed training materials and the final phase involves the development of an implementation and sustainment plan for the county.

Craig Seger, Senior Vice President of GP’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management group, stated, “The Joint Task Group of the Cuyahoga County Local Emergency Planning Committee, the Cuyahoga County Emergency Services Advisory Board, and the Department of Justice Affairs, Division of Emergency Management are to be commended for proactively identifying the need to  develop training on shelter-in-place and evacuation during health threatening emergencies as a high priority.  We are excited about this partnership as it provides an opportunity to provide Cuyahoga County with an important tool to meet their emergency readiness requirements.”
