John Duncan is Managing Director, Heathview Consulting Ltd, organizational effectiveness and strategic performance management consulting practice with offices based in Toronto, Canada, and London, UK. His firm helps successful leaders achieve positive change in behavior: for themselves, their people and their teams.

He was most recently Group Human Resources Director, Royal Mail plc and on the senior executive team that successfully listed Royal Mail on the London Stock Exchange in October 2013. In this role, he collaborated with the University of Oxford creating a learning and development partnership to implement executive and management development programs that were at the heart of Royal Mail’s transformation into a privatized company from government ownership.

John was previously Senior Vice-President, Human Resources, Canada Post achieving “Top 100 Employers in Canada” recognition for four consecutive years: 2007 to 2010. During his time there, he strengthened the overall management team, as well as advancing employee engagement objectives and cultural change.

He currently serves on the CHRO Advisory Council of the Human Resources Professionals Association and the Board of Directors of Mental Health International. He is also Vice Chair, Development of The Logistics Institute, internationally recognized educational and professional credential certification authority for global supply chain leaders.

John previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of SCI Logistics Inc.; the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business; the Board of Trustees of the Business Disability Forum; and the International Advisory Board for Executive Education, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Carleton University, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, a Masters of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and he is completing his doctorate in the University of Pennsylvania CLO program.
